Like most people of Indonesia, the daily diet will not be complete without some elements like rice, side dishes, and vegetables. For processed vegetables there are two kinds of ways commonly used to process it, 1) a lot of water or sauce as an example: sour vegetables, vegetables or very simple coconut milk like a clear vegetable, using only onion slices plus sugar and salt (usually this is made Beginners learn how to cook home cooking 2) in stir fry, and usually this way faster and simpler to cook, such as mix vegetables or sauteed kangkung (these are 2 kinds of my favorite vegetable preparations). In addition, I usually always add oyster sauce to every dish of vegetable stir fry to get delicious dishes like those in restaurants.

Besides mix vegetables and my favorite kangkung stir-fry, other types of stir-fried vegetables that I have also tried are stir-fry bean sprouts. I actually rarely use bean sprouts to stir-fry vegetables, but after trying a few times, it tastes as good as my other favorite stir-fry vegetables, again the oyster sauce is what makes it more delicious! Okay, I will share my bean sprouts oyster-style recipe! ;)

Ingredients:

  • 200gr of beans, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves of red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbs of oyster sauce
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of sugar
  • 250cc of water

How to:
  1. In a frying pan, heat 1 spoon of oil. Add the garlic, red onion, and the red pepper, until the odor aroma out.
  2. Add beans, stir briefly until slightly wilted, then add water.
  3. Cook until boiling water and cooked beans (not too wilted), add oyster sauce, sugar, and salt.
  4. Add bean sprouts, stir briefly. Turn off the stove, lift and ready to serve.

Tips.
Do not cook bean sprouts until too wilted, bean sprouts will be better eaten when half cooked.
